Canoeing Health and Safety

Canoe safely! follow these simple rules,

Don't canoe if you are feeling unwell

Wear a Bouancy Aid or Lifejacket at all times.

Wear or carry windproof clothes even in summer.

Wear old trainers or wet boots.

Don't canoe by yourself, minimum of three in a group.

Cover any open wounds with a plaster dressing.

Have dry clothes ready when you get out.

Shower as soon as possible after canoeing.

If you feel unwell after canoeing, see your doctor, (see Weils disease).
