EAST SUSSEX SCOUTS
The purpose of this award is to give canoeists and other activity leaders a recognised award in basic First Aid and Life support methods, The award meets all the requirements for BCU coaches from levels 1 to 5. Aquatic First Aid is also acceptable for FormW. I would strongly reccommend taking part in the course which last approximately 8 hours and if successfully completed will give cover for 3 years. I feel it is very important to keep up to date with First Aid qualifications as we are put in positions of responsibility with young people and therefore expected to be as well trained as possible.
